SOS Personnel is seeking to hire a Physical Therapist for Delaware Public Schools | Contract Position.

Therapist Requirements
  • State of Delaware License in Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of criminal background check
  • Current Mantoux tuberculin test with a negative or inactive positive result
  • Experience working with students with mild to severe disabilities
  • Experience in the Delaware public school system(s) preferred
 
     Scope of Work
  • Provide screenings, evaluations and service delivery in collaboration with a team using a transdisciplinary approach
  • Services include therapy provided in classrooms, community, small group, individual or through consultation
  • Prepare reports of evaluation and student progress
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEP) in keeping with the Appoquinimink School District procedures
  • Attend IEP meetings to discuss student eligibility, needs and placement
  • Recommend and adapt supportive equipment
  • Interact with parents as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the school staff
  • Follow guidelines for Cost Recovery
  • Provide and/or participate in staff development activities including those presented on District scheduled in-service days
Compensation: $44.00 per hour
